Talking to Tourists

This course meets the ABET Level 2 units standards in the Tourism Learning Area that require learners to engage in a range of listening and speaking interactions and applies this to material relevant to tour operators. It is the first step along a learning pathway which leads to a qualification in the Hospitality and Tourism Learning Area at NQF 1.

Talking to Tourists investigates popular South African tourist attractions and discusses business transactions aimed at providing excellent service. Using practical, real-life situations familiar to learners, the course is designed for the small-scale tour operator and people who are directly or indirectly in contact with tourists. Another feature of this course is that it develops the entrepreneurial skills in the field of hospitality and tourism.
