Computers at Work

Computers are an essential part of the world in which we live. They make us more efficient and productive because they quickly perform tasks that people find too boring and too difficult to do. This is why people who have computer skills are first in line when finding employment.

Computers at Work
is a step-by-step guide to the uses of computers in the working world. Using clear, easy to follow instructions, the course shows us how to use computers for a range of purposes, including word processing, business spreadsheets, sending and receiving e-mails and browsing the World Wide Web. Photographs of the actual screens users would see as they work help to make this course clear and accessible. A glossary of computer terms is included.

Though this course is written towards End User Computing unit standards registered by SAQA at NQF 1-3, the language level is pitched at NQF 1 in order to reach people with lower literacy levels in English. It is an essential course for entry into the modern working world as it builds the skills
required to find employment.
